A while back I joined a group here in Northern Nevada that helps off-roaders who get stuck in the deserts around Reno, NV. 775 Offroad and Recovery is a non-profit group who sends trained recovery volunteers to off-road vehicles. They provide an essential service to the area and provide training to off-roaders.
775 Offroad and Recovery is a non-profit who rely on their volunteers to provide recovery of stuck vehicles. They will not tow on any paved roads, as that is a job for the tow companies and they will not do search and rescue operations, but can assist search and rescue.
This is a great group of very knowledgeable volunteers across the northern part of Nevada. Check their website out and save their number. You never know when you need someone to come pull you vehicle out of the desert.
