For those of you that follow blackrockoverland on social media, you’ll see that I’ve had a big project build in my garage. Here is an introduction to my build and why Battaleborn batteries are my batteries of choice.
Earlier this year (2021) I decided to add full electrical to my offroad trailer (Smittybilt Scout Trailer). This electrical setup need to be enough power to run a small blender, coffee maker, water pump, and lights. I don’t have a lot of space in my trailer, but decided to use the generator area to put all my components.

My first step was to find some LiFePO4 batteries, there are a ton of choices and many of these batteries are from China and cheap. It seemed pretty over-whelming seeing all the different brand, storage capacity, sizes, and customer support options. I noticed the Battleborn batteries had a great reputation amongst their customers. I called a representative at Battleborn to let them know what I wanted to do and asked what I might need to complete my build.

The Battleborn staff was really easy to work with and very knowledgable. I was sent three 100ah Battleborn batteries to start my build. My first impression was how fast my order was delivered. They came with a signature delivery and were packaged very well. Battleborn batteries have a built in battery management system (BMS) protecting the batteries without me having to buy a bunch on monitors. Battleborn also has a 10 year warranty on al their batteries and really stand-by their batteries.
As I continue my build follow my on social media. I will be posting a in-depth write up and YouTube video about my entire install.
